About Footium:
Footium is a multiplayer, competitive and rewarding football management game. We are a team of 8 people, who are all passionate about football and gaming! We are transforming the football management gaming genre through creating social connections between players, having a keen focus on competition and allowing players to win real money prizes for performing well as managers.
Players in Footium are both managers and owners of their digital Footium Clubs. This means they make decisions around signing youth players, upgrading facilities, conducting transfers with other clubs, building an optimal squad and choosing their line-up and tactics before and during each game to try and get a valuable win!
Footium has been in production for over 2 years. In this time we have conducted several playtests to get valuable feedback and continue improving the game. We will be launching the first full season of the game in 2024. We already have a community of over 1200 Footium Club Owners who have purchased Footium Clubs, which includes Pro Footballers such as Chris Smalling and Nigel de Jong, as well as many Football Gaming content creators and influencers.

About the Role:
Reporting to the CEO, the Marketing Lead will be working in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Their primary goal will be ensuring Footium can grow rapidly.
They should be a great communicator with a background in marketing. Experience playing Football Games is very valuable, and a passion for Football and Football Culture is a must (you’ll be working with a team and community who are talking about Football constantly!). Footium is aligned with the principles of Web3 (which we are built on), which meaning community inclusion and transparency are important to ourselves and our community. Being familiar with web3 as well as marketing in web3 will also be beneficial for this role.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and creative in both designing and executing Footium’s Go-To-Market strategy, whilst operating on a start-up budget. They will be able to ideate and rapidly execute on marketing initiatives, knowing how to quickly test and evaluate the success of the initiative and then double down / discontinue.
Their core responsibilities will be designing and executing our Go-To-Market strategy, building Footium’s brand, managing Footium’s community on discord, running our social media accounts, managing user communications and working with our partnered content creators + influencers.
They should be an extremely adaptable individual - At Footium, you will be asked to chip in wherever is needed, such as testing the game for bugs, doing customer support, helping to design features + interpret user feedback and more!
Ideally the candidate will be located in or near London, UK to allow in person working with other team members a few days a week, but this is not a strict requirement.
How we work:
We communicate primarily through our Team Discord server, Notion, and Google Meet calls. Most of the team are located in the UK and will work in person in London a few times a month. Our company culture is one of working hard, iterating rapidly, communicating with brutal honesty, and winning + losing as a team. We are all passionate about the product we have been working hard to build over the last 2 years - we can’t wait to get it permanently live and start showing it off to the world!
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing Footium’s Go-To-Market Strategy
- Executing Footium’s Go-To-Market Strategy
- Communications with our user base (updates, announcements, press releases)
- Managing relationships with partnered content creators + influencers
- Onboarding relevant content creators + influencers
- Growth-focused marketing once the game is live to attract more users
- Managing Footium’s social media accounts
- Developing Footium’s brand
- Keeping the Footium community engaged with the game across twitter and discord
Required Skills and Experience:
- Passion for Football + Football Culture
- Extremely adaptable and willing to work on things outside of your job description when needed
- Able to take charge of multiple projects at once
- Experience creating innovative and successful marketing campaigns
- Strong ability to both plan and execute growth-focused marketing strategies for consumer audiences
- Experience leveraging organic growth channels and empowering product ambassadors
- Ability to assess and prioritise different marketing approaches that are right for Footium (we don’t have the resources to do everything at once!)
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Passionate about football games (particularly football management games)
- Experience and knowledge of web3 and web3 marketing
- Experience marketing games or other entertainment products
- Previously managed relationships with influencers and content creators
- Experience working in small companies and teams
- Strong communication skills - not being afraid to speak your mind
- Desire to lead a marketing team in future as Footium grows
Salary + Tokens
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000
Tokens: 0.15% - 0.25% of total Token Supply
